Cars Are Exhausting

The EPA reported that as of 2018, the transportation sector alone makes up 28% of the total greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) for the United States and contributes to 14% of global emissions. The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy conducted a recent study showing that increases in bicycling could help cut GHG emissions from urban transportation up to 11% by 2030. We are already seeing how these changes can have big impacts for sustainability. However, commuting by bicycle is not the only way to help reduce emissions. There are so many alternative forms of transportation that are both more eco-friendly and cost effective. We hope that at our event you were able to see all of the benefits of these alternatives and gain more knowledge on the options you have here in Norman, Oklahoma.
